My Favorite Songs of 2012

My awesome partner in life, Aaron, is a HUGE lover of music. One of his most favorite things in the entire world is discovering new bands, new albums, and new songs to listen to (and, if we are lucky, to see those bands perform their songs live). He spends a lot of his life listening to Radio K, University of Minnesota’s college radio station (we are still mourning the shut down of WOXY).

A while ago, I suggested he start a blog where he could keep track of the music he loves the most (starting a blog is basically my answer for all things). And he did: Song of The Day. Then at the beginning of 2012, I convinced him to keep a Spotify list of all his song picks so that I could listen to it — that’s a much easier format for me than watching YouTube videos. There will be a new list starting soon for 2013.

And while Aaron has listed his favorite albums of the year, I want to take the chance to list my favorite songs off his Song of the Day list (Aaron compiled 249 songs in all!).

Without further ado and in no particular order:
